Upon another visit to her homeland, a woman that looks into
the future and tells what she sees, had told Mahsa of a man that
she would meet at her doorstep.
Among other things that the woman had told Mahsa about
the good things of her future, she said this will be the man; this
will be your sign.
Then one day a man had stepped upon her doorstep and
brought her some clothes to alter, for she was a seamstress. Now
the man upon seeing her was so overwhelmed at the beauty of
Mahsa; for it was such a breathtaking experience to see such
beauty. The man brought her more work, for he had a desire to
visit with her again. The more he came, the more he had to
come. The man had developed such an interest in her he had to
find out about her marital status, for he saw no sign of a man in
the house, only a single mother raising her children.
The man had asked a friend of the marital status of Mahsa.
Even though his friend knew her, he did not know the answer to
the man’s question. His friend said, “ask her yourself, she will tell
you”. The man with fear of rejection and fear of getting an
answer he was hoping not to get, he told Mahsa, “I’d like to know
of your situation”. She said, “I would like to know about yours
too”.
The man was so excited about hearing this, his heart leaped
for joy. For he had found favor in the eyes of Mahsa.
The man and Mahsa had agreed to meet and tell their
stories to each other. After meeting they had decided to become
friends. Before long the man’s heart was so stricken with Love for
Mahsa, it is said his heart had turned into “Majnun”.
Now “Majnun” is a term used to describe a man that has
been stricken by Love and thinks of nothing else but the one he
Loves.
The Love that “Majnun” had in his heart for Mahsa would fill
his heart so much that it felt that his heart was going to explode.
“Majnun” wanted to run someplace in solitude and curl up in a
ball and let his heart hurt, gasping for relief.
You would find “Majnun” writing letters and sending
messages to Mahsa hoping to release the swelling in his heart.
He was so overwhelmed with the beauty of Mahsa’s heart.
“Majnun” would even try to shake himself loose of the madness
in his heart. But the more that he tried to shake himself free of
the Love in his heart for Mahsa the more his heart was stretched
beyond reason.
Before long “Majnun” started sending her cards, plants, gifts,
and serenading her with music. Every morning Mahsa would
wake to a message that “Majnun” left with her through a
message carrier; “Good morning Princess, I Love you”.
The desire of “Majnun” is this; to every morning wake her
with a kiss, tell her how beautiful she is. Kiss her again as he left
the house everyday to conduct his business. During the day he
would have her in his mind and in his heart.
When he came home at the end of the day he would kiss the
lips of Mahsa again and again, because he felt so fortunate to be
able to come home to her. Before “Majnun” and Mahsa would
get up from eating a meal, he would tell her how great the meal
was and how he Loved it so.
“Majnun” showered Love upon the garden of the heart of
Mahsa. As he watered each plant, each flower, and each tree
within her heart, “Majnun” would talk to each one and tell them
how important they are in the garden of Mahsa’s heart. He
wanted to walk in the garden of her heart everyday, enjoying the
beauty, because that is where he gained his strength everyday.
Mahsa had planted in “Majnun”’s heart a garden of Love.
You would find her basking and raining showers of Love upon the
garden she had created in “Majnun”’s heart.
From a quote that “Majnun” came across; “There is nothing
stronger than pure gentleness and nothing more gentle than pure
strength”.
To this very day the heart of the man is still called “Majnun”
for he Loves her so much.
